Our friend CabooseXBL has shared a fun little list. He has a few ideas on what would be some great costumes for Harley Quinn and Red Hood in Batman Arkham Knight.
Let’s start things off with Harley Quinn:
Batman: Arkham Asylum (video game)
This costume probably needs no introduction. Caboose points out how the costume accentuates her association with the Joker, so much so that the first time you see it, you instantly recognize it.
Batman: Assault on Arkham (animated movie)
Now this one you may not know about, and that would be a shame. Assault on Arkham was a recent Warner Premiere animated film, following members of the Suicide Squad as they execute a mission for Amanda Waller, with Batman in tow, but only to cameo.
(Spoilers here): Harley leads this version of the Squad, right until the point she reunites and reteams with the Joker. This incarnation of Harley is dangerous and unpredictable, making her a great version to play as.
Batman: The Animated Series (animated TV series)
Of course, the version that defined the character is one of the most beloved, even by people who don’t play the games. Caboose wants Rocksteady to give this costume the same treatment they gave Nightwing and Robin for their appearances in prior Arkham games.
And now, let’s get to the Red Hood costumes:
Revenge of the Red Hood (comics)
This was a Grant Morrison comic before the New 52 reboot, published in 2009. Following the events of Battle of the Cowl, Todd grudgingly acquiesces to Dick the mantle of Batman, but then rebrands himself as the Red Hood, with a new Batman-like costume, seeking to be named Gotham’s new protector. The costume is caped and all black save his characteristic dome, and a red skull logo in place of the Batman logo.
Under the Red Hood (animated movie)
This is another Warner Premiere production, so really, it adapts certain storylines from the actual comics. It actually goes through this Red Hood’s origin story, but to better suit the series, elements have been simplified to their very essence. It’s a slick version of the original costume, and Caboose again recommends the same treatment Nightwing and Robin received.
The New 52 (comics)
Finally, this version of Red Hood heads a new incarnation of the Outlaws, and himself has received a costume revision. His costume has been trimmed down a different way; he wears slimmer, more practical looking armor, and a brown jacket on top of it. Caboose argues that this version is fitting for the Arkham universe, and I must say I personally agree.
Batman Arkham Knight is coming 2015 to Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
