We have new videos showing off the difference between 7th gen and 8th gen versions ofWWE 2K15.
The difference is night and day. With The Viper Randy Orton as basis of comparison, you can see that the character likenesses are much better on the newer generation of consoles. The resemblance is not just uncanny, it is downright photorealistic. I am personally particularly impressed with the rendering on those tattoos of Orton’s back. I mean, how could you not be?
Of course, there are qualifications to this praise, so I would like you to hold on to those expectations for the following reasons. For one, these are still screenshots. Two, based on the angles, these may be from game cinematics and not actual gameplay. Third, and this will only apply if you are a certain age and have played these games a long time, but you may have noticed a downgrade in what would presumably be Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 graphics. Those of you who actually have the THQ games can check for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Whatever the case, it is clear that here and now, 2K Sports, Visual Concepts, and Yuke’s is leveraging the power of 8th generation consoles, to make WWE 2K15 the best looking wrestling game we have seen until now. One can only be hopeful the final product lives up to the hype, both graphics and gameplay wise.
WWE 2K15 is coming October 28th to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Check them out below.
