In another round of the "tell us what we don't already know" olympics, games analyst Michael Pachter believes that the next Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare 3, will outsell Black Ops.
We don't normally give the man the time of day, but Call of Duty: Black Ops was recently certified as the best-selling game of all time in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Black Ops has only sold 13.7 million copies, but Pachter believes that figure to be closer to 20 million. Pachter believes that Modern Warfare 3 will sell more than 20 million copies.
Given the number of new gamers, the continuing popularity of the series, and the higher preorder figures for Modern Warfare 3, it wouldn't come as too much of a surprise to anyone should the game manage to outsell its predecessor.
Modern Warfare 3 will be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this November.
