Hyrule Warriors received an Ocarina of Time update the other day with the announcement of three characters from the N64 classic: Shiek, Darunia, and Ruto. The latest character trailers showcase the latter two, with Shiek sitting out for another day.
Darunia is the leader of the Gorons who makes Link his blood brother as thanks for clearing Dodongo's Cavern. In Hyrule Warriors, he wields the Megaton Hammer with vicious force. Ruto is the princess of the Zoras who decided Link would become her husband, adding to his ever-growing list of female suitors. She doesn't wield a weapon in Hyrule Warriors so much as she uses her fins as blades. She can also create sharks out of water and encase her enemies in a liquid prison sphere.
By the way, have you been noticing the special edition items at the end of all these Japanese trailers? So far, these items haven't been announced for the US, despite how awesome they are. Nintendo Everything has shared a video that breaks down the various items, which include a Triforce clock, Link's scarf, and a treasure chest. There will be two special editions of Hyrule Warriors in Japan — Premium Box and Treasure Box — and the scarf and chest will be part of the latter while the clock will be included in both.
In the US, Hyrule Warriors will arrive (special edition-less?) on Wii U on September 26.
