We have some fresh new tidbits for your regarding Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s online multiplayer.
So, first off, Sledgehammer Games confirmed cooperative mode, but in the skeeviest way possible. Yes, all we have to base this on is this image below. Admittedly, dev Michael Condry was asked by a fan to post a really blurry picture of said co-op mode ‘accidentally’, so it is up to you if you want to thank or be angry at the fan who requested that.
For what it’s worth, the picture seems to show a brightly lit room with what could either be mirrors or monitors or screens in the background. If this is for coop mode, it could be a debriefing room, or what would pass for the game’s lobby.
Our other source is more straightforward, although some might say it is a little less reliable. eSports Call of Duty player Renato confirmed flat out that both Hardpoint and Capture The Flag modes are coming back for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Was he told? Is it just an educated guess? Or is he bluffing? Of course, these would be modes that eSports would want to see back, and modes they would ask from the developers.
Frankly, whether he or another eSports player said it, it’s more doubtful that these modes would not be in the game, since they are so popular and basically a necessity in eSports. Taking them out in this context would be like taking out versus mode in Street Fighter.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming November 4 to Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows.
