We have a new champion for The International 2014. China-based team Newbee has wrested the championship series from rivals ViCi Gaming to take the $ 5 million pot and the title of grand champion.
Both Newbee and ViCi were dominant in the lead up, earning 7-8 and 12-3 wins respectively. ViCi beat Newbee in game one, but Newbee then went on to take it all back and beat them definitively. As happened throughout the tournament, Newbee did not get disheartened by early losses, and would take it back every single time. Don't cry for ViCi though, since they still get a sizable $ 1.5 million.
