Destiny Beta Golden Chest Guide

July 19, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Some of these chests are really out of the way, but not hard to find if you know where to look.

This is a guide for the Destiny Beta Golden Chest locations. Each one will give you a different armor.

On Level 2 Story, once you finish killing everyone in the barn, work your way up to the second floor. You will easily find your first Golden Chest there.

You can find the second Golden Chest on Level 3 Story after killing the Wizard in The Dark Within, jump your way upwards, towards a bridge attached to a circular pillar, and then to a series of ledges you will only be able to see after ascending. Move past the ledges to find the Golden Chest. Keep in mind that as soon as you beat the wizard, a timer starts signaling the end of the mission, so you should rush towards that location to make sure you get the Golden Chest’s contents in time.

On Level 4 Story When you enter the Forgotten Shore, double back and head back a bit, until you see a u-turn. Move towards some rocks until you see a cave facing you. Just enter that cave to find the Golden Chest.

At the same level, at the forgotten shore, once you head to the dilapidated ships, turn left and head towards the water.  Make your way to the far end of the across the edges and sides of the cliff, jumping on the rocks and moving up, until finally moving down again.  Eventually, you will see the Golden Chest just hiding from plain sight.

Finally, at Level 6 Story, when you get to the boss fight , make your way downwards to the bottom of one of the vertical paths. This map is particularly dangerous so make sure you don’t get shot along the way.

As an alternate guide, you can see a video showing all locations below. Destiny is set for release on September 9th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
