EA has released a new trailer looking at the emotion of players in FIFA 15.
"We've replicated a huge range of emotions" for both players on the pitch and fans in the stands says senior producer Nick Channon. This means that "the tone of the game can change drastically as you play through a match. During gameplay, our emotional intelligent feature connects all 22 players on the pitch.
"Each player has a feeling or attitude towards every other players on the pitch which evolves positively or negatively over time based on how the match plays out," he adds.
Channon gives the example of a player who is regularly tackled or fowled by an opponent and may confront the other players based on the context of the match. Another instance is a near miss in the early part of a game, if a shot just skims past the net the player's teammates will encourage him but repeated misses will cause them to grow frustrated.
The game also features ten player celebrations which occur when someone scores a winner late in the game and is swamped by his teammates. In all, there are over 600 emotional animations in the game.
Channon has previously detailed the game's "true to life" lighting and realistic players. FIFA 15 launches on September 26th for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
