San Diego Comic-Con is getting a whole lot more exciting for gaming fans, as Tetsuya Nomura and Hideo Kojima have been confirmed to be going to the event.
We all know Kojima, Metal Gear guy, and Nomura is one of the key people in the evolution of the Final Fantasy series. To be specific, he is best known for Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII.
To get to the Kojima / Nomura joint autograph session, you will need to buy one of the qualifying Play Arts Kai Figures at Square Enix’s booth, # 3829. These would be either the Final Fantasy figures, Kingdom Hearts figures, or DC Comics figures. Each figure in each series qualifies you to one ticket per person, but you can get multiple tickets by getting one figure from Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and DC Comics each.
Since it’s just a flash event, you can’t have personal items signed. Instead, Nomura and Kojima will be autographing ready postcards with several designs, so yes, if you buy multiple figures, you can get three different postcards with their signatures.
There will also be no recording allowed (photo/video/audio), so you can forget it. Still, for a chance to meet Nomura and Kojima, and together to boot, is pretty much worth the hassle.
