Last month, The Pokemon Company announced that the sounds of the Pokemon series would be going on tour across America. Called Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions, it's to be a celebration of the franchise's 20-year history, with music from all the games and possibly the TV show and films too.
YouTuber Tamashii Hiroka was fortunate enough to score an exclusive demo of the Pallet Town theme from Pokemon Red & Blue. Keep in mind that this is just a synthesized sample, not a live performance. It should at least give you an idea of what the full composition will sound like when performed by an orchestra. Jump to the 1:25 mark to check it out.
The first stop on the Symponic Evolutions tour is the Warner Theater in Washington, DC, on August 15, the day before the 2014 Pokemon World Championships. Next up is the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA, on September 19. More dates and locations will be added later.
