Titanfall: Respawn Reveals New Location: Frontier’s Edge Dig Site

July 16, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Mining has stopped in light of the intensifying battle between the Militia and IMC.

Sales aside, Respawn is committed to bringing new content to Titanfall. Today, we get a peek at a new area; the Frontier’s Edge Dig Site.

What’s going on here? Simply put, these mining sites have become a new battlefield between the IMC and Militia. The fight spills out with many close up and medium range encounters, as well as several Titan battles.

Between the industrial buildings, equipment and structures, and the different levels of elevation (from having to mine several layers deep, of course), Frontier’s Edge is a good setup for many an online multiplayer match.

Notable in this exchange is that attacks from the air are completely out of the question. Tall, steep rock walls provide cover that can only be circumvented by either going guerrilla on the ground, or taking that huge step forward with a huge Titan.

No release date for this yet, but Respawn also promises new locations, Export and Haven, to be revealed as soon as next week.

What kind of locations and maps would you like to see Respawn bring to Titanfall? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
