We have new information for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. Today, we get a new peek at the oft unmentioned Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.
The latest Famitsu scan reveals we will be seeing Hercules (from the film of the same name) with Cloud Strife, in Olympus Coliseum, as well as both Jasmine and Jafar from Aladdin.
Again, Square Enix lacked the resources to port the actual Kingdom Hearts Re:coded game over, what with working on Kingdom Hearts 3 at the same time. To make up for it, they are expanding the story via cutscenes instead. So, you can look forward to getting a more complete sense of the KH story between this andKingdom Hearts 1.5. There will be two hours worth of cutscenes to look forward to.
Spoilers follow from here on out.
But of course, you may now be asking, what story does Re: coded have anyway that it’s such a big deal? Well, the game goes through a side story where Jiminy finds a hidden message in the journals he wrote of Sora’s accomplishments, and he, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy enter the journals to find out the big secret; which is, of course, Namine letting Sora know it is his duty to save Terra, Aqua and Ventus.
coded has gone through some rewriting in its transition to the Nintendo DS as Re: coded. It should be no surprise that this probably definitive version of the story will go through some revision as well. In plain English, even if the whole game won’t be in this collection, if you want to know KH lore, you need to get HD 2.5 ReMIX.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is coming to the Playstation 3 this December 2.
