Nintendo made a lot of people happy when it announced that the Wii U-exclusive Bayonetta 2 would come bundled with a copy of the original for free. Since then, there's been a bit of confusion whether the port of Bayonetta 1 would be physically included in the package or if buyers would be offered a code to be redeemed digitally. News site Nintendo Everything has been able to get to the bottom of this mystery and confirm that the game will indeed appear in physical form.
An official Nintendo rep spoke with Nintendo Everything to clear the air:
Bayonetta will be included as a disc with the physical game. For eShop, people who buy Bayonetta 2 will still get Bayonetta (digital version) at no additional cost.
When asked about whether both games would share disc space, the rep replied:
It will be two separate discs.
And there it is! When Bayonetta 2 arrives on Wii U this October, Bayonetta 1 will hitch a ride as a second disc. You'll be able to play the original with newly added Link, Samus, Peach, and Daisy costumes at no extra charge.
