Sledgehammer Games has released a new behind-the-scenes video showcasing the sound design that’s going into their upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
The video, which runs at about a minute and a half in length, features exposition from Sledgehammer Games Audio Director Don Veca, who talks about an audio intelligence system that makes virtually every impact and explosion sound unique. It’s like a movie, except it’s not—because you’re actually in the game.
The footage depicted in the trailer isn’t anything we haven’t already seen in previous videos, but the scenes depicted showcase a heightened focus on the game’s audio and sound design.
Our previous report on the game entailed how fans were asking Sledgehammer Games to fix the mistakes in Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer mode.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set for release on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC on November 4, 2014.
