Earlier this year, Capcom held a weapon design contest with the winning submissions — one from Europe and the other from the Americas — to be included in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Capcom has just announced the European winner: the Emperor's Speech.
Designed by artist Lin Setzekorn, the Emperor's Speech is classified as a Hunting Horn, a club-like melee weapon that can play songs that boost certain attributes. What makes the Emperor's Speech particularly special is that there is a tiny throne at the top of the horn upon which which sits a statue of Poogie, the pig mascot of the Monster Hunter series. When the horn is blown, Poogie oinks in pleasure, and the when the weapon is swung, Poogie squeals in shock. It is absolutely adorable.
Both the American winner, whenever it's announced, and the Emperor's Speech can be wielded in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate when it arrives on 3DS in early 2015.
