KH Insider has shared new information on Kingdom Hearts 3 from an interview with franchise co-director Tai Yasue during the latest Square Enix Presents.
Asked about the Kingdom Hearts 3 teaser in the recent 2.5 HD Remix trailer, Yasue had this to say:
"Although the footage may change, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be about those words from the start of the game. It's a secret but as for whom the person speaking is, you may be able to pin [their identity] down immediately from the figures seen."
You can find out the current fan speculation regarding the trailer here.
The developer also revealed that the game's storyline has not yet been finalised commenting:
"I can't say for sure but a portion of it has been set in stone. When creating a Kingdom Hearts game, the storyline must usually be completely determined; how it will play and its system will be quickly developed simultaneously. New information is expected to be released soon as soon as we're ready. Please stay tuned!"
Kingdom Hearts 3 sees an adult Sora embark on a new journey which is more "exhilarating than ever" according to the Japanese Xbox One site. As ever, the game will continue to fuse Final Fantasy with Disney's worlds and characters.
Based on the information revealed about the game so far, it seems the Foretellers may play a big role.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but does not currently have a release window while Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix is set to launch in December, exclusively on PlayStation 3.
