Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Trailer Details the Nemesis System

June 10, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Shadow of Mordor will have powerful, intelligent AI.

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor which looks at the game's nemesis AI system.

Monolith Productions' community manager Andy Salisbury commented on the PlayStation Blog that "[At E3] we’re showing our live theater presentation all day long, giving everyone a glimpse at the Sea of Núrnen; it’s a location players will be exploring on their own come October as gamers engage powerful Uruk enemies, thanks to the Nemesis System" but for those of us who aren't in LA, there's the trailer to tide us over until release.

The nemesis system is designed to give enemies personalities and allow them to remember past encounters with players and react accordingly but whether or not it will live up to that promise remains to be seen.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is coming to PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, you can check out another recent trailer for the game here.
