Story details of Far Cry 4 briefly appeared on Uplay before being pulled by Ubisoft but the information was captured by VG24/7.
Here's what Ubisoft had to say:
"Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.
"Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat."
This reveal comes after it emerged that the cover character is not the player and he isn't white, there had been some controversy about the underlying message the box art seemed to imply about the game.
The Far Cry games are unusual in that none of them are really connected despite bearing the same name but hopefully we can count on our blond antagonist being just as memorable as Far Cry 3's Vaas.
Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18th in North America and November 21st in Europe for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
