In the included video, Microsoft's Senior Product Planner Enrique de la Garza details their advertising mechanic, called Natural User Interface Ads, or NuAds. He's very enthusiastic about the "really cool" features of this thing, but then why shouldn't he be? To a person responsible for doling out advertising contracts, these NuAds are a dream come true. They essentially allow Microsoft to expose its Kinect users to brands and then give them all the tools they need to spread the adverts throughout all their social networking sites.
Users will be able to say things like "Xbox More" to bring up a context menu offering an email with more information about the brand. They could also say "Xbox Near Me" and the console will deliver retail locations where they might be able to find said product. Other commands include "Xbox Tweet", which is hopefully self explanatory, and "Xbox Schedule" which will allow users to set reminders about upcoming television programs and movies.
Why they seem to expect that people are going to push along their adverts for them via twitter and other methods is another matter entirely, worthy of interesting questions such as "What kind of idiots did you pull off the street for the NuAds focus group testing?"
