Call of Duty Ghosts has proven to be the best selling game on both Playstation 4 and Xbox One. If you can remember the numbers from launch, it seemed like many gamers bought new systems just to play the game on it.
However, COD can’t brag that it is Activision’s biggest franchise. No, that distinction goes to Skylanders, which has raised a cumulative $ 2 billion for the company, and sold 175 million toys, and that’s only this Q1.
Overall, Activision is realistic about its prospects in the coming years, and they believe the switch to eight generation consoles will still take some time, so they expect a drop in software sales.
