Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has revealed an amazing new arsenal of vehicles you will get to use in this futuristic PMC overrun game world.
Some of this equipment on offer includes hoverbikes, drones, energy based weapons (to complement more traditional weapons), and all new exoskeletons.
The exoskeletons are very promising gameplay wise. In Advanced Warfare’s lore, these lightweight suits give soldiers above normal biomechanic abilities, including strength, speed, endurance, and awareness. Soldiers also get enhanced movement and verticality with boost jumps (imagine Hulk jumps), cloaking abilities, and apparently some sort of grappling ability.
Sledgehammer claim to have taken great pains to research the world of PMCs for this one, so it’s possible these game elements are based on tech that’s actually in development, or are at least things actual weapons companies have been researching on. We do know some of them, such as the drones, are already in use.
COD Advanced Warfare is coming to Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on November 4. We’ll share more details with you as they are revealed.
