It’s been close to a month since the release of The Elder Scrolls Online and today the game has received its 6th major update, bringing the game up to version 1.0.6. The studio continues to hold its own against a plague of bots and spammers who threaten to ruin the economy and stability of the game.
Highlights for the patch include a fix for Nightblades becoming stuck for using one of their main abilities, the implementation of timers on loot acquisition from public dungeon bosses, and cash on delivery parcels actually requiring cash to accept.
“The Elder Scrolls Online v1.0.6 features fixes to more quest issues and blockers, in addition to game stability and performance.” said Zenimax. “We are continuing to improve our fight against bots and gold spammers, and appreciate your patience and understanding.”
According to Zenimax Online Studios, they are working on their fight against bots and gold spammers, and one of today’s fixes—the aforementioned timer on loot acquisition from public bosses—is a way to deal with botters in dungeons. The fix should effectively deter botters from setting up camp in public dungeons to kill bosses for their loot.
