Elder Scrolls Online Updated to 1.0.5, Fixes Many Quest Bugs

April 21, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Many bugged quests have been fixed, but stability issues remain.

The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduling some maintenance today, this time for the release of the game’s latest update, which brings it up to version 1.0.5. The update is designed to feature content fixes, unlike the previous patch which addressed a major duping bug.

Notably, a lot of broken quests that remained broken from beta up until the game’s release have been finally addressed—although it should be noted that many still remain.

The full patch notes can be found here. They can also be read in German and French. The patch is automatically applied when you launch the game.

Unfortunately, because there are no fixes to the game’s stability as of yet, players on the game’s forum are complaining about it. One redditor, Teelie, posted a list of known issues with the game:

– Loading screen to Cyrodiil, most nights I only get in to Cyrodiil on the 3rd-4th try, and I have to stand in queue between that.
– Unable to move (happened as most 7 times in 2 hours, 3 days ago, I have to die to an enemy so I can respawn and then it's fixed).
– Game crashes or freezes for some seconds when raid/party members go offline/online when in a large party.
– FPS drops to 5 after getting pulled by a DK (happened twice personally), have to restart client.
– “Skybug", suddenly your ingame screen gets a blueish sky color. Happened me once last night, happened maybe 5 other times since launch. No option but to restart the client.
– Spot of water in Cyrodiil where if you enter it you get stuck and can't move.
– Get knocked down on the ground and your character stays there. You can move at regular speed but you're still knocked down so you can't use any spells or dodge etc. A fix for this that I learned recently is to open inventory over and over and eventually your char will stand up again.
