In a letter to the community, DICE's General Manager Karl Troedsson has attempted to clear up any misunderstanding regarding the exclusivity of the Physical Warfare equipment pack for the upcoming Battlefield 3.
The pack, which includes two extra weapons (A bipod mounted light machine gun and a semi-auto shotgun), a special ammo type and a flash suppressor, is going to to be included as day-one content for all whom pre-order the game. If you don't feel like putting out for it early, DICE will eventually unlock the content for everyone free of charge later this year. That's awfully big of them.
Additionally, customers that pre-order the game will have free access to an expansion campaign called Back to Karkland as soon as it's launched. People that don't pre-order will have to buy it separately. So that kind of sucks, but incentives are incentives. Retailers have to collect interest on those pre-orders, you know!
