Chucklefish recently announced the KickStarter campaign for Alonso Martin's upcoming role-playing game Heart Forth, Alicia. The company will publish the title under their brand. The game is desribed as a '90s-inspired Metroidvania RPG about a young wizard on her journey to stop a Spirit from consuming her homeland. The developer aims to raise $60,000 by May 16th.
People who back the project will receive numerous goodies according to their tier: DRM free copies of the game, a copy of the official soundtrack, art books, and so much more. Interestingly, you can also be a part of designing the game itself if you donate a certain amount. The page notes that some backers can help design easter eggs, items, and even an NPC of your own.
"At Heart Forth, Alicia's core is an ode to the classics. Remember the electrifying gameplay of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the expansive worlds of the Zelda games, and the rich, engaging story of Xenogears? This game is crafted in the spirit of those great adventures of the '90s," the page reads as it attempts to market the game to older audiences.
Interestingly, the project is halfway through meeting its financial goal and they still have 29 days left as of this writing. If they do surpass their goal, it is noted that porting the game to other platforms can also be a concrete possibility.
Heart Forth, Alicia will be available on PC in Q1 of 2015.
