Minor Key Games has released the source code for its Lovecraftian first-person roguelike title Eldritch to the public.
Just head on over to the game’s official website and scroll all the way down for links to the source code, which has been released under the permissive zlib license.
Those with access to the code will be able to do much with the game, altering it from its very fundamentals to making small, aesthetic changes. Of course, you’ll still need the assets as it is a currently-sold commercial game, so don’t forget to buy it.
I’m going to be very disappointed if I don’t see more Cthulhu mythos-inspired mods in development for the game sometime soon. So hop to it, modders!
