Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition has been teased in a new trailer from Marvel.
The short video suggests that Captain America and presumably other members of the Avengers will be added to the game though it's not clear whether 2.0 Edition is a sequel or merely an update to the existing game. The trailer is titled 'Get Ready to Assemble,' most likely a reference to Marvel's Avengers Assemble and includes the tagline "Bring on the Super Heroes".
Also unclear is whether other Marvel super heroes who aren't in the Avengers movies due to licensing issues such as the X-men and Spider-man, will also make an appearance in the game.
Disney has previously told VideoGamer.com that it does plan to annualise the franchise which launched last year. The game helped prop up Disney Interactive, the company's video game label, with three million copies sold by mid-January.
Last month, Disney made 700 developers redundant but stressed that Disney Infinity had not been affected.
