In rather surprising news, Sony Santa Monica has now released the 'ultimate balance update' for PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale. The update was unexpected given that Sony announced no additional characters would be introduced to the game after ending their partnership with developer SuperBot Entertainment early last year.
You can check out details of the update in the below video and the full patch notes are detailed on Santa Monica's website.
The update also adds new costumes for Zeus and Isaac while The Graveyard Pack DLC which introduced them has been reduced to €1.49/£1.19 and includes a stage based on MediEvil’s Graveyard mashed with hidden elements from the world of The Unfinished Swan. This PSN DLC sale will finish on April 23rd.
Sony Santa Monica has also teamed up with fighting game community Level-Up Series for a 10 week offline Sping Tournament. which you'll be able to watch here every Thursday from 21:30 PST.
Given the new update, and the fact that it's 10 weeks until E3, could Sony be planning an announcement for another installment of the franchise, possibly for PS4?
