Easily one of the most anticipated video game titles releasing in 2020 has been Cyberpunk 2077. The video game is being developed by CD Projekt Red which are the folks behind the highly successful and cherished video game series, The Witcher. Now after their trilogy of The Witcher has come to an end, the studio has opted to bring out their next major title release which throws players away from the high fantasy of their previous series and into a cyberpunk futuristic world.
This Cyberpunk 2077 video game has been incredibly hyped up and fans can’t wait to get their hands on a copy. Still, even though we are a month away, there are little bits of information that is making its way out into the public. CD Projekt Red had to delay this game a few times and while it would seem that there’s not much more to be unveiled, fans have been sitting in on live stream events called Night City Wire. These streams are crafted up by the development studio and it’s a way to highlight some areas of the game whether it be gameplay mechanics or a bit of the lore such as various gangs you’ll meet during your journey.
One area that fans may have been waiting on is more information regarding the open-world map. We know that there is plenty of buildings and districts to explore, but we haven’t seen an official map to really highlight just where some areas may be in this game. That may have come to an end as a new image is making rounds online that may be an official map for the upcoming video game.
This image got its start on Reddit and it’s apparently a map that will be included in the collector’s edition of the game. As a result, this leaked image is not very clear and it’s also not anything official from the development studio. With that said, you can at least get a look at what may potentially be the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City map and the various locations you’ll visit during the game. For now, the developers have kept quiet.
We’re still waiting on the game and it wasn’t long ago that we got word of CD Projekt Red going into a crunch mode. While this is an area that most studios tend to avoid being brought up in the public eye, the studio has come out and claimed that their employees are being well paid for the overtime. In the meantime, we can still expect Cyberpunk 2077 to release on November 19, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. Those of you who are getting a copy on the PC may want to ensure you meet the official system requirements.
