Ranked queues of League of Legends are being disabled tomorrow in preparation for patch 4.4, which is due to arrive sometime this week. According to a post on the official forums by Riot Zaps, the ranked queues will be shut down and all game progress will end in a draw in preparation for the update.
"On [March 18], starting at 1:30 AM PDT, ranked queues will be disabled in preparation for patch 4.4. At 3:00 AM PDT, the servers will be shut down and all games currently in progress will end in a draw and stats will not be recorded. We estimate the battlegrounds will be unavailable for 6 hours,” wrote Riot Zaps.
While we have yet to see the patch notes, players are expecting to see a few changes to Lich Bane, and minor tweaks to Fizz, Diana, Twisted Fate and Ezreal. It’s unclear whether the downtime will lead to the release of the patch.
