Rumor: Apple Partners with EA for iSlate Launch Games

January 22, 2010 by Gameranx Staff

Apple to partner with EA to show off the tablet’s game capabilities

islate gaming

If the Wall Street Journal is to be believed, EA will be part of the much hyped rumored reveal of Apple’s tablet(iSlate) on the 27th of January. EA is expected to announce a bunch of games for the upcoming tablet in a bid to show off it’s gaming capabilities.

According to the report in the journal,

Apple is also working with videogame publisher Electronic Arts Inc. to show off the tablet’s game capabilities.

Bearing in mind EA has always shown great support for iPhone and iPod touch, by porting major sports and racing franchises to the App store, backing up Apple’s next big venture into the tablet market does not seem like a bad proposition. With many touting the new tablet to be as revolutionary as the iPhone itself, other big publishers like Activision and Ubisoft could follow soon.
