PlayStation Vita is reported to be region free, allowing users from all over the world to play the same games.

According to SCEE Vice President Michael Denny, Sony's upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld device will be completely region free, allowing players from Australia, Asia or Europe to play games meant for the United States, and vice versa, on any Vita console.

The PSVita was unveiled earlier this week at Sony's E3 2011 press conference. The device will be available in two models, costing $249.99 for WiFi only and $299.99 for WiFi and 3G.

The PSVita will be region free in contrast to the Nintendo 3DS, which is region locked.
