Easily one of the most anticipated video game titles launching this year is CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. After their hard work put into the successful trilogy, The Witcher, the development studio has turned their focus onto a new IP based on a table-top game. With quite the successful track record, there was an immediate fascination as to what CD Projekt Red was going to do with Cyberpunk 2077 and so far every trailer and announcement has come with high praise.
Cyberpunk 2077 puts players into the hustle and bustle of Night City. Set in the future, Night City is an area that thrives on greed, crime, and big corporations. In this game players take the role of V, a mercenary that is looking to survive by taking odd jobs. It’s hard to really pinpoint the backstory of V as CD Projekt Red has made the game to where players can pick from a series of different origin stories for the character. As a result, these stories will alter the narrative a bit and give players a few other unique missions that could be completed.
Speaking of these stories, that’s exactly one element that CD Projekt Red is planning to show off in their latest upcoming Night City Wire. This live stream offers players a look into the video game and showcases some previously unreleased details. Now the second stream is scheduled to take place on August 10 at 9 AM PT. Just as before, those interested in watching the stream can do so right on Twitch.
According to the official tweet from the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, it looks like this Night City Wire will showcase some details about lifepaths, different weapons featured within the game and also reveal Refused’s transformation into a Samurai. Currently, those that want to pick up a copy of the game will have to wait until November 19, 2020, when it will launch on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. It’s worth noting that next-generation platforms will also be able to play the game.
