Murdered: Soul Suspect will be making its way to PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in June, and while it might seem difficult to keep the quality of all versions of the game consistent, developer Airtight Games is up to the task. In a recent interview with GameSpot, chief creative officer Matt Brunner explained why both the next-generation editions of the game will be running at 1080p.
"We're trying to keep a consistency across all the platforms,” he said.
The title will run natively at 1080p, without any upscaling. This was confirmed by Square Enix producer Naoto Sugiyama.
Why no Wii U version, though? According to Brunner, Wii U games are best when they’re developed with the second screen in mind, which is something the Airtight team didn’t believe gelled well with this particular game.
"In all honesty, all the Wii U games I've ever played, the only good ones are the ones that are made specifically for [the Wii U]. And this just doesn't fit," Brunner said.
That mystery is solved, but look to find more clues and hints about Soul Suspect before it makes its summer debut.
