Titanfall Goes Gold but Respawn Won’t Confirm the Game’s Resolution

February 27, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Two weeks ahead of launch, we still don’t know Titanfall’s resolution but it’s less than 1080p.

Titanfall's resolution will not be 1080p according to developer Respawn Entertainment's co-founder Vince Zampella.

It was announced earlier today that Titanfall has gone gold on the game's official Twitter account:

Despite this, and the fact that the game launches on March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe for PC and Xbox One (the Xbox 360 version has been delayed until March 25th), Zampella and Respawn have not commented on the game's resolution beyond stating that the title will not be 1080p.

Asked to confirm the veracity of a report which suggested Titanfall will be 1080p, Zampella simply said "no". He did however confirm that PC players will be able to pre-download the game ahead of the release but that option is not open to Xbox gamers.

Official Xbox Magazine reports that Titanfall's beta ran at 792p which is likely the final resolution of the game and you can check out the title's achievements here.
