Publisher Kalypso Media has announced that Tropico 5's PC version will enter closed beta next month and you can sign up to participate on their website now.
As ever, Tropico 5 sees players engage in dictatorial strategy sandbox gameplay and Kalypso says:
"Under the wise and benevolent guidance of El Presidente, players can help make Tropico 5 the best game possible by taking part in a Beta test this March. Registration begins today – so potential applicants should apply right now. We’re looking for gamers who have a huge enthusiasm for city-building titles and with a wide experience playing within the genre."
The beta will only be available in English while the full game is set for release on PC, PS4, and Xbox 360 at some point during the second quarter of this year.
Tropico 5 once again has players become a cigar-smoking South American despot with both four player co-operative and competitive multiplayer action confirmed for the first time in the series. On this occasion, the action takes place over a longer period, right from colonial times to the present day.
