Sony has released a new trailer for Capcom’s Deep Down to mark today’s launch of the PS4 in Japan.
The free-to-play online RPG is in development at Capcom Online Games and is the first game to be developed using Capcom’s Panta Rhei engine. A PS4 exclusive, Deep Down supports four player co-op and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is assisting in its development.Â
There was controversy surrounding the game recently when it was suggested that there would be no female characters. It later transpired that there’s only one player character, who’s male.Â
The latest trailer shows off numerous enemies players will have to face and despite the fantasy environments and themes, Deep Down is set in New York in 2094. Capcom has yet to confirm the game for release outside Japan. Producer Kazunori Sugiura recently commented:Â
“Although no announcement has been made regarding an overseas release of Deep Down, we are happy that the title is drawing attention in regions other than Japan. We hope to release more information soon.”
