Electronic Arts hasn’t made too many people happy with the release of the new Dungeon Keeper for the iOS. Not only is it regarded as a bastardization of the original titles, it’s also something of a money grab with its microtransaction-based model.
EA may be attempting to placate its detractors by releasing the original Dungeon Keeper for free on Good Old Games. Bullfrog’s Dungeon Keeper Gold, which includes the expansion, is free this weekend on GOG. Dungeon Keeper 2 is also in the sale for $1.49.
Additionally, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, GOG.com is putting on a sale that includes 29 games discounted by as much as 90%. These include titles in the Dungeons & Dragons bundle, which includes the following games:
Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2
Icewind Dale 1 and 2
Planescape: Torment
Neverwinter Nights
Temple of Elemental Evil
Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone
Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard
