Quantic Dream CEO, David Cage has defended the steamy scenes in Heavy Rain and insists that it’s “definitely not porn“. David Cage has often said that Heavy Rain would be “a very dark film noir thriller with mature themes” but with a couple of sex scenes the game is sure to attract a fair bit of controversy when it is released 23 February 2010.
In an interview with PSM3, when David Cage was asked about the sex scenes in Heavy Rain, he said,
There are a couple, but it’s definitely not porn. We don’t intend to push the boundaries and be ultrarealistic in every detail. It’s about real characters having emotions and doing what adults do when they fall in love.
David Cage also conceded, he has a feeling that Heavy Rain’s mature content might end up at Fox News.
With a game which is essentially going to be played using context sensitive actions and quick time events, our pervert side of the brain is keen to find out how the sex scenes would pan out in the game.
