EA Sports UFC is designed for next-generation consoles. This isn’t some sports game that’s trying to accommodate those who are yet to take the first step into Sony and Microsoft’s bold future – the MMA product will only be launching on the PS4 and Xbox One this spring. So, as you’d guess, it’s a visually attractive game, and creative director Brian Hayes just can’t stop marveling at the work his team has accomplished up to this point.
"I've been making this game for a year and a half, and I still geek out at what the fighters look like when they're walking out to the ring," Hayes admitted to GameSpot. "Our goal was to bring the fighters to life like never before, and being able to deliver on that objective is probably the thing I think everyone on the team should be most proud of."
The team at EA Sports has been releasing new screenshots of fighter models for the past few months, making it easy to understand why Hayes is so floored by EA’s first crack at the UFC brand. Look to see more from the world’s fastest growing sport in the near future.
