2KGames has released the E3 trailer of Digital Extremes' upcoming horror/action game The Darkness II.
The trailer shows off a small part of the storyline, with an emphasis on the protagonist's girlfriend Jenny, her death, and Jackie's motivation in unleashing mayhem. The game is layered with the use of dark versus light, steeped in deep and twisted storytelling, and engulfed in stylistic violence that is visualized through a hand-painted graphic noir technique that stays true to its comic book origins.
