Eurogamer reports that Marvel's Agents of Shield has been spotted using what appears to be BioWare's Mass Effect 3 concept art.
The image in question is a popular lithograph still on sale on the BioWare Store and through other retailers and is titled 'Mass Effect 3: Earth Alliance'.
In the Shield episode entitled 'The Bridge' show makers ABC seem to have modified BioWare's artwork and you can see the two images below – the scene in question appears around five minutes into the episode.
BioWare Social Network user fhweufhewiu made the discovery and commented:
"There are a few differences (the towers have been edited out and certain extensions have been made to the existing image) but the majority of the structure's details are the same. The lines crossing the landing pad thing are the same, as well as the peg-vent thing on top which has been duplicated to the position of the edited out tower. As I said the image appears in an episode entitled 'The Bridge' in case anyone wants to check it out."
Despite the differences between the two images, ABC almost certainly utilised Mass Effect 3's art.
BioWare also faced accusations of plagarism over images used for the face of squad member Tali and the Stargazer epilogue – both of which were found elsewhere online. However, the images BioWare used were stock photos and were not copyrighted, unlike Mass Effect 3's concept art.
Whether ABC asked EA for permission to use the concept art is unknown.
