Do you recall Pandemic Studios? The developers were around from the late 1990s but became defunct in 2009. At the time they brought out several video game titles that were considered pretty big hits such as the Star Wars: Battlefront series, Mercenaries, and Destroy All Humans! The last of the three recently was unveiled to be getting a remake released for current-generation platforms. Now we finally know when the game would grace the marketplaces for players to purchase.
The original Destroy All Humans title was released back in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox platforms. Overall, the game put players into the role of an invading alien that was causing havoc in a 1950s town. Using different unique powers such as psychokinesis among other advanced alien technology, players are tasked with capturing humans and harvesting their DNA. Since its release, the game grew a cult following, and players will soon get a chance to enjoy the title once again with some overhauls in mechanics along with visuals.
“The cult-classic returns! Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest DNA and bring down the US government in the remake of the legendary alien invasion action-adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities. Reduce their cities to rubble with your flying Saucer!”
We knew since last year that this game would be getting a remake, but now a new post from the official THQ Nordic Twitter account unveiled that the game would be releasing on July 28, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. It also came with a brand new trailer for players to get another peek at the upcoming remake.
