Far Cry is a rather iconic FPS video game. It’s a series that focuses on a narrative adventure each being unique and while each certainly has some quality characters, one will always stand out. We are referring to Far Cry 3’s antagonist Vaas. The character was a standout hit from the reveal trailer alone. However, it looks like we’re not entirely done with the character quite yet.
If you’re not familiar with the actor’s name, Michael Mando, you have certainly seen him in some form of another. He portrays Nacho for one on the hit drama series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul along with lending his voice to a few video game characters.
One of those characters happens to be Vaas who is quite the antagonist in Far Cry 3. Don’t worry, we are not going to spoil anything if you haven’t played the game yet but recently the character gathered some attention online. Michael Mando held a Reddit AMA, a forum of sorts where users can submit questions in hopes that they are answered from the highlighted guest. In this case, Michael had quite a few different questions that spanned his career and personal life. Seeing how the actor has played his fair share of characters that will live on for years and years to come, it wasn’t surprising to see Vaas come up on the conversation.
One user on Reddit asked Michael if he still gets recognized as the Far Cry 3 villain in which he admits that still comes up. It’s quite incredible for the actor who helped create Vaas and to see how much love is out poured towards his portrayal. However, what really caught the attention online is that Michael makes mention that maybe he will reprise the role soon. So now the internet is trying to dissect the answer and figure out if the comment is more than wishful thinking.
Could we see another video game that features Vaas, are we going to see a remaster with more bits of Vaas tossed in, or could we see a movie adaptation? Michael Mando would definitely be the man for each of these scenarios but of course, nothing has been unveiled quite yet. For now, all we can do is just sit back and keep our eyes peeled for any potential news in regards to the Far Cry franchise.
