Telling Lies Narrative Focused Adventure Game Releasing On Consoles This Month

April 21, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Published by Annapurna Interactive.

Telling Lies is the latest narrative video game from Sam Barlow who you may remember from the unique FMV video game release Her Story in 2015. Following a similar gameplay experience, players can enjoy Telling Lies on PC right now, but it’s since been unveiled that the game will also see a launch on console platforms later this month. Thanks to an announcement from publisher Annapurna Interactive, you can expect to get a console copy option on April 28, 2020.

If you don’t recall Telling Lies, this is a game that plays out similar to Her Story. Players are not given much information but instead must use some detective skills to swift through different one-sided video clips on a hard drive. From there, you can pinpoint different videos together and slowly flesh out the narrative story. It’s certainly a unique adventure game that will probably have you going through countless video clips to get a sense of who certain characters are, how they are connected, and the events that have transpired.

Originally, this game released back in August of 2019 for the PC platform, but Annapurna Interactive has unveiled that the game will see ports released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms later this month. While we don’t have a Before You Buy episode for this particular video game, you can view the latest console-focused trailer released for Telling Lies posted above.

Meanwhile, if you are itching to play the game right now, the title is available for both PC and iOS mobile devices. Otherwise, mark your calendars for the console platform ports to eventually find their way into the market on April 28, 2020.
