Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot – New Power Awakens Launches This Month

April 21, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

The first part DLC launches on April 28, 2020.

Dragon Ball Z games are never-ending and it seems that we get a new installment released into the market quite often. With that said, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the latest to hit the marketplace and it’s bringing plenty of content for players to go through. Outside of being a game that players can relive the storyline of the popular anime series, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will have DLC to enjoy as well. The first of which is titled New Power Awakens and we know that the game is slated to release this month.

Overall, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an open-world RPG that players can go through not only the mainline storylines from the franchise but also some side quests as well. In fact, it wasn’t long ago that the game brought out a feature in which players can time travel in their progress in order to replay some missions or pick up some side quests that they may have missed originally when playing through the campaign.

Now with that said, there is new DLC content coming out for players to also enjoy. The first of which is New Power Awakens – Part 1 and it’s a story that’s exclusive to the game. In the DLC, the player will follow Goku and Vegeta that will train to become Super Saiyan Gods in order to defeat Beerus. That DLC will be releasing on April 28, 2020, though the full base game is available today for those interested in picking up a copy.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. With that said, if you haven’t already picked up a copy and want to know more about the game itself then we suggest looking at our Before You Buy episode down below. We offer some gameplay footage along with our overall impressions of the game in hopes that it offers enough information to help in deciding to purchase a copy or not.
