Those of you worried about the possibility of lack of games being developed for Natal, need not worry anymore, Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division, confirmed in an interview with CBC news that 70-80% of video game publishers are already working on Natal games.
When quizzed as to what kind of content and games can consumers expect to see at launch, Back replied,
We have something like 70% or 80% of the publishers in the world already doing Natal-based games. Our first party studios are also very focused on this. We want to have a few titles from Microsoft that show the way and then we want the breadth and power of the ecosystem from our partners to bring lots of new ideas, new innovations, new concepts to the marketplace.
This shows that third-party publishers share Microsoft’s vision of Natal and since Xbox 360 has the highest hardware-to-software ratio amongst all three consoles it makes perfect sense to support the new peripheral which some publishers have claimed is more than just a gimmick.
