Call of Duty Ghosts Honey Badger Guide

January 4, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

It’s the gun that comes with a silencer built right in! It goes without saying, the Honey Badger is best used as a stealth gun.

This is a guide for the Honey Badger in Call of Duty Ghosts.

Named after a vicious mammal, the Honey Badger outputs moderate damage. It takes three shots to kill a target, two if one is a headshot. This drops quickly to five shots to kill at medium range, four if one is a headshot.

Rate of fire is good at 800 rounds per minute. Hipfire ability on its own is average, but with the rate of fire and damage output you should generally do well when you do fire from the hip. Recoil is high, although the Honey Badger almost has 100 % mobility. As you may start to see, the gun is suited for close up attacks, striking and quickly getting away. With an average aim time of 300 milliseconds, you can be easily outclassed so you will want to be able to move.

Magazine capacity is average at 30 rounds per magazine, 45 if extended. Reloads are an advantage, at a brisk 2.63 seconds. The Honey Badger is suitable to a Stealth Class. Obviously, the gun has a silencer by default, but the way the gun has been tweaked as a whole just follows that general direction.

The foregrip can help put a rein on the Badger’s high recoil, and you will also want to get extended magazines, all for the sake of avoiding being outclassed by other guns. You don’t necessarily want to upgrade sights since the Stealth class is all about catching opponents unaware. When the need comes up, the default iron sights will be sufficient.

For Perks, you have to get Off The Grid to sneak around undetected, while Dead Silence and Takedown will make you better at what you do. Marathon and Infinite Sprint are good choices so you can outmaneuver targets.
