Dying Light Trailer Shows Differences in Day and Night Gameplay

December 17, 2013 by Stephen Daly

During the day the city is yours but at night the infected come out to play.

Techland has released a new trailer for Dying Light, the Mirror's Edge-like first person action survival horror coming out in 2014.

This footage focuses on how gameplay differs between the day and night cycles and Techland says:

"Slow, apathetic, and easily visible, the infected are not much of a threat in daylight. But this relatively safe state of affairs is turned upside down as the sun sets. At night, it is you who is at a disadvantage. Without daylight, the senses of the infected become more acute while their thirst for human flesh skyrockets. They run, jump, and climb, so there is really no place where you are safe anymore."

Dying Light is being released for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.You can check out another trailer for the game here, which focuses on the benefits of advanced lighting techniques on the PS4 and Xbox One.
