Killzone Shadow Fall Scout Class Guide

December 16, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

The Scout Class is the missing link between the Support and Assault Classes. Get the nitty-gritty on it here.

This is a guide on the Scout Class in Killzone Shadow Fall.

The Scout Class’ primary ability is the Tactical Echo. For secondary abilities, you have a choice of Cloak, Emergency Teleport, and Stun Drone. Its primary weapons are the StA101, StA61, LS70, and LSR44. For secondary weapons, you can get either the StA19 or the M6. Options for explosives are the M194, Remote C4, and Laser Tripmine.

Tactical Echo sends out a pulse so you can find your enemies’ heat signatures within your range. It can even find other Scouts using Cloak.

As implied above, Cloak gives you partial invisibility. While cloaked, the only weapon you can use will be the combat knife. Cloaking is best when flanking enemies and can be used to infiltrate enemy lines.

The Emergency Teleport works for the Scout Class similarly to Support Class. Using it takes you away from your current setting to another random place in the map.

Finally, the Stun Drone is  a great flying support drone that you can use to tactically approach well guarded targets.

The StA101 is a medium weight sniper rifle, great for taking enemies at a medium distance. The StA61 is a semiauto sniper rifle makes less damage, but has a higher rate of fire. The LS70 is a powerful single shot sniper rifle that can only be used ADS, and works best at long range. Finally, the LSR44 is a three burst submachinegun equipped with a powerful and explosive secondary shot. It also has the best magazine capacity of the primary guns, although it falters at range and damage output.

The StA19 is an average pistol that works well up to medium range. The M6 is state of the art, but needs charging before use. The M194 is your default fragmentation grenade. Remote C4 can be detonated at a distance. Finally, the Laser Tripmine activates when your enemy walks across it.
